Threadlined Presence Celebrates Its First Anniversary

One Year of Threadlined Presence: What We Built, What We Learned, and What Comes Next

One year ago, we launched Threadlined Presence with a pretty simple belief:

Small businesses, solo founders, creatives, mission-driven organizations, and small teams deserve thoughtful digital support that is accessible, manageable, and built around how they really work day to day.

Before launching Threadlined Presence, our founder spent nearly a decade managing the day-to-day operations of a boutique law firm.

That experience made one thing very clear: small teams are often responsible for a wide range of communication, technology, marketing, administrative needs, and internal processes, even when no one has extra time in their schedule.

Websites need updates.

Social media needs to be planned, created, and monitored.

Newsletters need to be written and sent.

Campaigns need messaging, graphics, landing pages, and follow-through.

Analytics need to be understood well enough to guide decisions.

Processes need to be clear enough that the work can keep moving without everything depending on one overwhelmed person.

Threadlined Presence was created because these pieces do not exist on their own.

A website can support social media. Social media can bring people to a newsletter, blog, service page, event, or campaign. Messaging shapes the graphics you create, the posts you publish, the emails you send, and the way people understand your work. Internal systems determine whether any of it feels manageable behind the scenes.

When those pieces work together, digital strategy becomes easier to maintain.

That is the kind of support Threadlined Presence was built to offer.

What Year One Taught Us

Starting a business means learning how to do much more than the work itself.

Our founder already had experience managing projects, systems, communications, websites, social media, deadlines, client needs, and the many moving pieces that come with supporting a small team.

What year one required was learning how to build a business around that work.

One of the biggest lessons was that pricing is about sustainability.

A price needs to reflect the time, experience, scope, communication, problem-solving, and work happening behind the final deliverable. Sustainable pricing allows a business to continue serving clients thoughtfully and consistently.

Clear processes also became increasingly important.

Good systems protect everyone. Clear scope, timelines, approvals, and communication help projects move forward with fewer surprises. Even seemingly small requests can involve more time, testing, revisions, or coordination than expected, which makes defining the work clearly from the beginning especially valuable.

We also learned how important the right client relationships are.

The strongest clients value communication, thoughtfulness, and follow-through along with the finished work. The best projects are collaborative, respectful, and built on trust.

Recurring support has also proven especially valuable.

Launching something is one challenge. Keeping it moving is another.

A new website still needs updates. Social media needs consistent attention. Campaigns evolve. Newsletters need new content. Small teams are often managing all of this alongside client work, operations, staffing, finances, and everything else required to keep the organization moving.

Ongoing support can create real breathing room.

Another lesson? Confidence does not always arrive before the next step.

Sometimes it shows up after the proposal is sent, after the meeting is over, or after solving the problem you were not completely sure you could solve.

Year one included learning curves, projects that stretched us, systems that needed improvement, and boundaries that became clearer through experience.

It also included clients who trusted us, referrals that opened doors, projects we were proud to create, and moments that confirmed Threadlined Presence had become something real.

Year One By The Numbers

The first year included work across websites, social content, campaigns, custom projects, events, talks, and community connections.

Websites

In year one, Threadlined Presence:

  • actively managed or supported 5 websites
  • built 4 websites from scratch
  • completed 3 website audits
  • carried out 2 major website revisions
  • began 1 major website migration

Those projects ranged from creating new digital homes to evaluating what was already there, improving structure and content, managing ongoing updates, and supporting larger transitions behind the scenes.

Each project reinforced how important a website can be for a small team. A strong site is not only a digital brochure. It can serve as a central home for services, events, campaigns, newsletters, search visibility, client communication, and long-term trust.

Social Content

In our first year, Threadlined Presence created more than 325 social posts through ongoing client work.

That content supported law firms, nonprofit organizations, e-commerce businesses, creatives, small businesses, and solo founders.

For many clients, social media is one of the first things pushed aside when time gets tight. Consistent content support helps businesses remain visible, communicate their expertise, stay connected to their audiences, and continue building trust before someone ever reaches out.

The goal is never just to post for the sake of posting.

The goal is to create content that feels aligned, useful, and manageable.

Custom Projects and Campaigns

Year one also included:

  • 10 custom personal designs
  • 2 major fundraising campaigns
  • 1 additional campaign in progress

These projects included custom postcards, print pieces, campaign materials, digital graphics, event support, and creative work that did not always fit neatly into a standard service package.

Some of our favorite work begins with a client saying, essentially, “I have this idea. Can we make it work?”

Very often, the answer is yes.

This kind of work brings together strategy, design, messaging, logistics, and follow-through. It is one of the places where Threadlined Presence’s love of connected systems really shows up, because campaigns and custom projects rarely involve just one piece.

They involve the message, the audience, the platform, the timing, the materials, and the plan for what happens next.

Events, Talks, and Connections

Threadlined Presence also started showing up beyond the screen.

In year one, that included:

  • 1 local event supported: The Champaign Room
  • 1 professional presentation: DC INBLF social media strategy talk
  • 1 community walk joined: Lawyers Have Heart
  • 1 local chamber joined: Rockville Chamber of Commerce

These experiences reinforced something we already believed: digital presence and real-world connection can strengthen one another.

Relationships create opportunities to learn, collaborate, refer, support, and grow.

What Is Taking Shape Next

As we move into year two, the goal is not to do everything at once.

It is to pay attention to the directions already taking shape and continue building thoughtfully.

A Stronger Client Experience

One of our highest priorities is strengthening the client experience.

That means continuing to refine systems and processes, improving communication and collaboration, and exploring a new and improved client portal for website management.

The goal is to make the experience of working with Threadlined Presence feel as thoughtful and connected as the work itself.

More Community Connections

We are also looking forward to making more connections and showing up more in our community.

Through the Rockville Chamber of Commerce and other opportunities, we plan to attend more events, build stronger relationships with fellow business owners and professionals, and create connections that can fuel partnerships, knowledge, referrals, and growth.

There may also be more community and cause-based events ahead.

More Educational Opportunities

Education has always been part of the way we work.

We do not want clients to feel shut out of their own digital strategy or dependent on explanations filled with jargon.

Looking ahead, that could grow into more webinars, practical resources, in-person talks, workshops, professional presentations, and educational opportunities for clients and the broader community.

Possibilities are already beginning to emerge, including Chamber programming and potential conversations around topics such as AI and practical digital strategy for small teams.

New Resources and Products

Another direction taking shape is the development of resources that can be used beyond direct client work.

One idea we are especially excited to explore is a full printed Something to Celebrate Every Day calendar.

The concept is simple: a thoughtfully curated annual calendar featuring something to celebrate each day of the year.

It could serve as a gift for social media managers, administrators, small businesses, content creators, friends, families, and anyone who could use a daily reason to celebrate or a little inspiration for what to post next.

We are also continuing to explore custom wedding websites and other creative products and services that build naturally from the work we already do.

More Websites, Content, Campaigns, and Digital Support

Of course, we are also looking forward to more of the work at the heart of Threadlined Presence.

More website builds.

More migrations.

More audits and strategic revisions.

More ongoing website support.

More content partnerships.

More campaigns.

More custom projects.

More opportunities to help small teams connect the pieces of their digital presence and make the work feel more manageable.

Thank You For Being Part of Year One

One year in, we are grateful for every client, referral, project, conversation, collaboration, and moment of encouragement that helped turn Threadlined Presence from an idea into a growing business.

Thank you to the clients who trusted us with their websites, content, campaigns, communications, and ideas.

Thank you to the people who made introductions, shared our work, answered questions, offered advice, and encouraged us along the way.

Thank you for celebrating this milestone with us.

We said it once during anniversary week, and we will say it again:

We are just getting started.

And we are so excited to see what takes shape next.
